Brandon Mississippi Futurity February 3rd - 5th, 2012 will not be having the BFA approved futurity due to lack of pre entries. A producer has to have so many pre entries to justify producing an event. The Barrel Bash will still be offering the open 4D with 5500.00 added for the weekend as well as the 250.00 added futurity sidepot 5 & under. PLEASE support Barrel Bash. Barrel Futurities of America 26^th World Championships crowned champions from several states, awarded checks to international contestants, and presented awards to every level of barrel racer who strives to win. Nearly 1300 entries competed for over 3/4 million dollars in prize money and awards Dec. 5-10 at the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds, Oklahoma City, OK.

A unique contest is shaping up for the year-end Barrel Futurities of America bonus awards. Elite barrel horse trainer Cody Bauserman has positioned two of his mounts to battle for the BFA Futurity Championship. Niki Black, owned by Jr. & Theresa Follin, is leading the points standings followed closely by Bauserman’s Coronafromthegetgo. Lance Graves has a “Tim Tebow” opportunity to make a run with his talented youngster, Seis So Sweet.

Provides Awards to Honor Western History and the Spirit of Inspiration

Barrel Futurities of America is pleased to introduce several new sponsors and announce additional awards for the 2011 BFA World Championships. 

Donnie & Diane Reece, Chris & Carol Ann Coffee along with their staff worked very hard to make this a success.

Ted Wallis did a great job keeping everyone entertained and things moving very smoothly.

Jerry & Terry Leach and staff kept the ground in great condition and everything in running order.

Future Fortunes donated 2000.00 in gas money to entrants riding FF horses in Futurity, Derby and Open!

There was so much packed into 4 days and exciting it was!

Slot Race was Tuff!

Kim Ulbricht riding Allene Taton’s Slick By Design won 1st, a close 2nd was Peggy Hall on Sissy Novak’s gelding Famous Dr. John , 3rd Sharin Hall & Kool and Famous 4th Talmadge Green & Secret Ta Fame.

Then in the Futurity Cody Bauserman riding Jr Follin’s Niki Black scorched a 14.853! in the 1st go. Kim Ulbrieht came back on Slick by Design to win 2nd go. Niki Black wins the average for Jr & Cody.

Sharin Hall had some outstanding runs in both Futurity and Derby, her Kool and Famous was reserve Champion Futurity placing 2nd in the 1st go and 3rd in the 2nd go.

Then Sharin riding Ken Pruitt’s Derby stand out Bullys Tiger Eye tied with Leslie & Jason Willis’s great gelding Time Well Traveled for the 2011 BFA Spring Classic Derby Championship.

There were so many outstanding runs and nice colts!
